Storage conditions for interior doors, sliding systems, partitions and molded products
1. Door leafs and molded products should be stored in their original packaging, in a dry, ventilated room, not closer than 1 meter from heaters, at temperatures from + 3ºС to + 35 ° С, and humidity 15-75%. It is not permissible to store the Goods in the room in which wet construction work is carried out (wallpapering, whitewashing, plastering, puttying, screeding devices, etc.).
2. Moisture should be avoided on the packaging of the door leaf, molded products and sudden changes in temperature.
3. Transportation of products in the original packaging at temperatures from -30ºС to + 35 ° С is allowed. It is recommended that the products are in a room with a temperature amplitude:
- from 2 to 4 hours before installation, if the room temperature is up to 30ºС,
- at least 6 hours before installation, if the room temperature is from 30ºС to 50ºС. This is necessary to equalize humidity and temperature.
4. Door leafs should be stored on a flat surface in a horizontal position, in exceptional cases, installation on the bottom end is possible at an angle of at least 80º from the vertical wall. Molded products should be stored in a horizontal position.
Door installation
In order for the doors of Sofia to last for a long time and please you with their quality and convenience, you must correctly install them. The appearance of the structure also depends on this. Not only sliding (folding) doors have their own characteristics, which should be taken into account during installation. Swing structures (especially the Invisible system) will look amazing and function without problems if all the nuances are taken into account during the installation process. Therefore, we recommend entrusting installation issues to Sophia's professionals.
Veneered Door Care
Only dry cleaning veneered doors with a soft cloth is recommended. It is possible to use polishes intended for lacquered / unvarnished furniture containing wax. Particularly carefully should be treated the bottom of the door leaf and the box, which may be damaged during wet floor cleaning.
Veneer Repair
Alone at home, you can fix only small damage - shallow scratches, small scuffs. Shallow scratches on the varnish and scuffs can be eliminated with the help of a retouching, previously cleaning the surface with a fine-grained sponge.
Deep veneer scratches can be repaired with soft wax pencils. If necessary, pencils can be melted with a soldering iron and mixed among themselves several shades to obtain the desired tone.
Waxing: apply a small amount of wax of the desired shade to a cleaned surface (scratch, chip), remove excess wax with a soft cloth. If necessary, remove the glossy stain, sand the surface with a soft sponge and apply a repair one.
Cortex Door Care
All of the finishes listed above are resistant to moisture and mild household cleaners. When cleaning, they can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth, using melamine detergents, polishes containing wax. Acetone can be used to remove stains from grease, tea, coffee, felt-tip pens from a cortex-finished surface. Wipe dry with a soft cloth after cleaning.
All types of acrylates and varnishes require a careful attitude and are not subject to repair.
